Late Dr. S.K. Sundaramoorthy - The founder of Lotus Eye Hospital & Institute and Lotus Bausch & Lomb Institute of Optometry, was a true visionary. He dreamt of creating and establishing a world-class eye care facility and institute delivering quality care, treatment, and the best academic training facilities. Late Dr. S.K. Sundaramoorthy has been an icon in the medical eye care field. He set up many organizations under the Lotus Vision Research Trust to enable his dream of making quality eye care available to everyone at par in society.

The awards and accolades he has won in contributing to medical science and philanthropy speak volumes of his relentless quality and urge to serve society. In addition, he was a multifaceted personality, an enthusiastic orator, a philanthropist, and a leading Ophthalmologist.

The creation of LBLIO was an extension of his dream of making eye care services more easily accessible. The creation of Lotus Bausch & Lomb Institute of Optometry, collaborating with a world-renowned Optometry brand churning out world- class optometrists every year, is indeed a significant contribution to the eye care sector.
